Pick one: Firesuits – Doves

This band have a great connection to who they are and their deep sounding Trip Hop sound. This piece is no different and sounds INCREDIBLE on the right set up.
With the mixtures of Tremolo and Delay, a blend of drones passing through a step FX sequencer, this articulate piece is incredibly original.

Pick Two: Germaphobe – Mim Jensen

Christchurch musician Mim Jensen has been working out her sound for a few years now and solidifying her place in the indie scene.
She recently featured at Darkspace12 an event that was put on by Space Academy, Darkroom and 12 Bar. This song has an incredibly
catchy chorus and a great use of sonic 3D shape and soundscape.

Pick Three: I Want the World – Electric Temples

Hard hitting rockers Electric Temples have really made a name in the Christchurch Music scene with their spectacular live performances
in virtually every bar in town. Most notably, a string of brilliant performances at Wunderbar in Lyttelton.

I Want the World is the first Single from the band, led by our very own staff member David Rea!

Pick Four: Fall At Your Feet – Boy & Bear

This is just a beautiful rendition of an old classic that features mandolin and has a beautiful country swing to it, riddled with soulful
harmonies.

Pick Five: Smother – Daughter

One of the most pure voices I have heard of the 2010s, THis group have the best soft emo music out there
for anyone in a sombre mood. It is dripping in the nostalgic sounds of Eva Cassidy, married to the hifi bliss that is
Lana Del Rey.
